Jugurtha Harchaoui (born March 15, 1972) is an independent author based in New York City. == Translation Work == In April 2009, Jugurtha published ''Martin L. Gore: Lays'', a selection of lyrics illustrated by German artist Klaus Voormann in book form. Acclaimed British songwriter Martin Gore first greenlighted the effort in 1994. ''Lays'', seems to be the first book about Gore's lyrics and poetry. The book is 216 pages and compiles Martin Gore’s lyrics for 87 Depeche Mode songs, written between 1981 and 2005, including the first 11 studio albums, plus some B-sides. A laudatory blurb was contributed by The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr. Placebo bass player Stefan Olsdal and Nick Cave also contributed to the book. ''Layss foreword was written by rock journalist, Gérard Bar-David (Rolling Stone,〔:fr:Rolling Stone〕 Best〔:fr:Best (magazine)〕).
